Biography
Sylvia Reyes was born in Los Angeles, California but lived the majority of her life in Oxnard, California. Looking for a fresh start, she relocated to Arlington, Texas in the summer of 2022. She’s attending the University of Texas at Arlington and is majoring in Philosophy. Sylvia plans to attend law school to pursue a Juris Doctor after she earns her Bachelor’s degree.
Sylvia’s interest in the legal field brought her to The Law Offices of Veronica Garza in the beginning of 2024. As a Communication Specialist, one of her main responsibilities is reaching out to clients and keeping them updated on their case status. She has been deeply influenced by the practice of immigration law and has learned about the many obstacles families face when beginning the immigration journey. What she enjoys the most is watching families stay together, especially after experiencing a very difficult process.
Sylvia’s goals for the future include working as a district attorney or a federal public defender, as her ideal position would be in a courtroom. Having four daughters of her own, she also hopes to one day become a foster parent to provide a safe home for children in need. This is one of the reasons why she relocated to Texas in hopes of owning a large enough home in the near future.
In her free time, Sylvia loves to read, cook, and spend time with her four girls.
